HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM… OVER 300,000 youth in our city are at or below poverty level which is $22,000 OR LESS for a family of 4.

More than 50% of minority students DO NOT GRADUATE from high school on time…  Houston has the LOWEST rate of high school graduation in the state of Texas. 49% is the dropout rate in here in Houston…

Together we can make a difference and turn those statistics around by giving our kids the tools they need to start the school year right!

97.9  Box & 1-800-Car-Wreck is teaming up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston to ARM OUR KIDS FOR SUCCESS for BACK TO SCHOOL with a school supply drive that will benefit their students in need. Join us for a day of family and fun Saturday August 23^rd from 10am-4pm at the Boys and Girls Club Holthouse location at 2411 Canal Street, Houston Texas 77003.

We’ll be broadcasting live while collecting the goods for good kids who just need a little head start for Back to School. For Every person that donates 10 Items or more, 1-800-Car Wreck will Match it With a $10 Donation giving away a maximum amount of $10.000 dollars to The Boys & Girls Club.
