J. Prince is a man of his word. During Texas Southern University’s Maroon and Gray Gala on Saturday, Prince revealed via video that he was donating $50,000 in the form of a scholarship!
“I’m initiating a $50,000 scholarship on behalf of myself, my family and Rap-A-Lot Records,” Prince said. “This money will go to support TSU students. The love and support shown to me when I visited TSU this past fall was tremendous. I was able to encourage the students to follow their dreams and never give up and that’s what I’m doing with this scholarship.”
Prince thanked Dr. Austin Lang, the current chancellor of Texas Southern as well as his wife. He visited TSU last year during promotion of his book, The Art and Science of Respect.
