Our next conversation is with former NFL player and founder of the As One Foundation, Devard Darling and his Executive Director, Ms. Tomia Austin. The two tells us about the 9th Annual Darling Dash 5K & 1K, which is the foundation’s annual event to raise awareness about the sickle cell trait. We also talk about what the sickle cell trait is and how it can be tracked, the difference between having the sickle cell trait verses the disease, and it’s link to dehydration.
