“Apollo Creed,” the tape’s opener sounds exactly as one would expect about one of the best characters in the Rocky universe. Sparse pianos and DeLo’s voice humming along like a boxer with the heavy bag. Every bar thumps and drives home a further point. It’s up there with the “Take Me Back” opener and “Lately” with Scotty ATL. The 12-track tape features heavy hitters such as Paul Wall and Killa Kyleon for “Doors Wide Open,” Rob Gullatte for “25 Lighters” and guest appearances from Bam Rogers, Jazz Anderson, Skilla, Luke Whitney and Hogg Booma.
