Here’s a little history on King Lil G, a man whose been leading the Latino rap revolution in Los Angeles and beyond for quite sometime now.

His most famous single, 2014’s “Hopeless Boy” (34 million views on YouTube and counting) speaks to growing up in Los Angeles, one of the Mexican kids Tupac spoke of on “To Live & Die In L.A.” There are typical pitfalls he avoided, kept his nose clean and continued to make music, all on his own terms. Since then the movement has only grown as his Paint The City Blue album released in March has racked up hundreds of thousands of plays on Spotify and features another face of the Latino rap movement out West, B-Real of the legendary group Cypress Hill.
