Atlanta FX Season 2

Source: FX / FX

Last night, FX’s Atlanta, Donald Glover’s surprise 2016 comedy returned for its second season and things got lit from just the opening scene. We won’t fully spoil the episode if you haven’t seen it but just know a certain pimp made a cameo — and I’ll present what he did, without context.

But the second best part of Atlanta being back besides all of the characters? The music! “Alligator Man” started off with a little Texas flavor via Tay-K’s “The Race” and ended with The Delfonics’ “Hey! Love.” In between all of that, there was some Jeffrey Osbourne via LTD. Rene & Angela and even some of Atlanta’s best offerings from the trap. Here’s the mini-soundtrack to Season 2, Episode 1 of arguably the best show on TV.

Yung Bans, “Right Through You”

Tay-K, “The Race”

Jay Critch & Rich The Kid, “Did It Again”

UGK, “The Game Belongs To Me”

Death Grips, “Hot Head”

Rene & Angela, “I’ll Be Good”

LTD, “Love Ballad”

The Delfonics, “Hey! Love”

Curtis Mayfield, “When Seasons Change”
