I got a chance to take a tour of KTRK (ABC Studios) last week and was in amazement. Now, I see how fans feel whenever they visit the radio station. The people in the newsroom were hard at work, with computer screens that had about 20 tabs open. It’s lowkey were the magic happens, because:
- You hear writers yelling from one side of the room to the other,
- you see papers flying in the air, and
- fingers typing at close to 5 hundred million words per hour
…ALL WHILE anchors on the TV screens keep their cool. I realized that the television personalities may not be that nervous because they don’t perform in front of too many people; It’s just them and the camera…for the most part.
