An election recount is underway in Wisconsin thanks to Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and her accusations that the vote was hacked. The state accepted her recent petition to recount votes that were cast for President of the United States. The recount will take place later this week.

The Commission is preparing to move forward with a statewide recount of votes for President of the United States, as requested by these candidates,” Wisconsin Election Commission’s Administrator Michael Haas said in a statement.

According to NBC Newsthe state’s election commission is still waiting to receive a cost estimate from county clerks to calculate the fee that Stein’s campaign will have to pay before the start of the recount, but Haas believes the fee will be paid soon. And Stein has the money—she has raised over $4 million for recounts in states including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

And while Hillary Clinton has been mum about the recount, her camp recently admitted to joining forces in this effort. But CNN reported that Clinton’s campaign said on Saturday that ” the campaign’s own investigation has not uncovered any evidence of hacking of voting systems.”

Not surprisingly President-Elect Trump has called the recount efforts a “scam,” despite the fact that during the end of the campaign he vowed to force a recount if he lost.

With holiday shopping season underway, a conservative “watchdog for corporate activism” group has called for a boycott against Target for the rest of the year, says NBC News.

The 2nd Vote group is asking people to shop #AnywhereButTarget because they oppose the superstore’s support for the LGBTQ community and their implementation of gender neutral and family bathrooms. The group especially took issue with a statement that the store released that said: “We welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.

The group’s Executive Director Lance Wray accuses Target of “putting its radical politics above common sense or safety.

We don’t want to pay for Target’s liberal agenda,” Wray asserts in the video. “So that’s why, this Christmas season, we’re shopping anywhere but Target.

They added: “There are consequences for supporting a radical movement that is determined to redefine marriage, gender, and, ultimately, the 1st Amendment.

(Yawn—meanwhile everyone has gender neutral bathrooms in their own homes.)

Target did not issue a press release or public response to the 2nd Vote boycott, but did they did make statements this past spring when other conservative groups attacked the store for it trans inclusion.

Target’s CEO Brian Cornell told CNBC that “We’ve had a long history of embracing diversity and inclusion.”

If there’s a question of safety, I can tell you and others—our focused on safety is unwavering, and we want to make sure we provide a welcoming environment for all our guests one that safe, one that’s comfortable, and that’s our commitment over time.

So, we took a stance and we’re going to continue to embrace our belief of diversity inclusion and just how important it is to our company, but we’re also going to make sure our focus on state is unwavering and we’re going to provide a great environment for our guests to shop every time they’re in out stores.

Looks like that’s not changing their inclusive stance anytime soon

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick continues to spark conversation, this time the political athlete is being talked about for defending Fidel Castro to a Miami newspaper reporter

According to Mia.247Sports.ComKaepernick wore a tee-shirt with the recently deceased ex-leader of Cuba and Malcolm X that created some tension between him and the south Florida media.

I’m not talking about Fidel Castro and his oppression,” Kaepernick said. “I’m talking about Malcolm X and what he’s done for his people.

When accused of changing the subject, Kaepernick lauded Castro, for his school system.

One thing that Fidel Castro did do,” he said, “is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system, which we do not do here, even though we’re fully capable of doing that.

When a Miami reporter lashed out saying that Castro’s policies have broken up families, Kaepernick quickly responded.

We do break up families here,” he said. “That’s what mass incarceration is. That was the foundation of slavery. So our country has been based on that as well as the genocide of Native Americans.

The 49ers play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
