Urban Skin Rx is a skincare brand for all women, focused on even, healthy, acne free skincare. They also boast having skincare products for all skin types. This month, post election and the current state of our divisive nation, this beauty company has made a loud stance in an effort to redefine the definition of beauty and bring unity among women.

With their #NoShade #MyShade, Urban Skin RX encourages woman to embrace their individuality. It celebrates empowerment, confidence, equality and most importantly, unity.

The skincare company has launched a separate site, MyShadeIs.com where women can upload a photo of themselves and define their own shade. You also have the opportunity to win $100.00 in free products via the website.

Founder of Urban Skin Rx, Rachel Roff, stated,

“In my line of work, I’ve come across women of all shades, very diverse, different backgrounds, who all have the same concerns and insecurities about looking and being a certain way. It’s important to me to bring women together and help them understand we may vary in shades, but wea re the same and to be confident with who they are by celebrating diversity and individuality.”

Urban Skin RX, based in Charlotte, NC also partnered with Girl Talk Foundation, Inc., a non-profit focused on developing teenage girls from a social, emotional and physical standpoint. The goal is to help them grow into civically engaged community citizens.

The campaign is taking speed, with many celebrities and beauty bloggers supporting the movement, including singer Fantasia.

Fantasia is an avid user of Urban Skin Rx and via her Instagram stated, “Often when we celebrate who we are it is taken as shading someone that’s different! I want all women to join me in celebrating who you are and your uniqueness!”

Yes for celebrating diversity, yet embracing individuality! Love that a beauty brand took a stand during these troublesome times and serves as an example for other brands.
