The cornerback, Antonio Cromartie, was recently waived from the Indianapolis Colts on October 4, just days after being signed on August 22 to the team for a one-year contract.
Cromartie only got to play four games with the Colts and for two of his games, Cromartie decided to join in with the protest and to take a knee with his fist in the air during the the national anthem.

Since Cromartie was waived only two days after his second kneeling, his wife, Terricka Cromartie has been vocal about it and she’s saying that the timeline is looking a bit fishy.
The Colts owner, Jim Irsay spoke out in an interview against the protest with USA Today saying, “I think it’s the wrong venue. It hasn’t been a positive thing. What we all have to be aware of as players, owners, PR people, equipment managers, is when the lights go on, we are entertainment. We are being paid to put on a show. There are other places to express yourself.”
Terricka said that her husband had been given a warning not to follow along with Colin Kaepernick’s protest and in his footsteps and when Cromartie did, he was let go.
Here is a part of what Terricka said on her Instagram, “One things for sure I know my husband was told Not to take a knee and he went with this heart and he took one.
And her is her actual posting that she posted on Wednesday:

iluvterricka You are Nothing More than an Entertainer. Just Shut and do what we say. You have No rights as along as you are working for me.. there are other places for you to fight and stand for what you believe… Smh Maybe I read something different.. one things for sure I know my husband was told Not to take a Knee and he went with his heart and he took one. And that cost him his Job.. and Clearly this Statement backs that up… Just a Paid To put on a show.. SMH

Her husband, Antonio Cromartie had two passes defensed and 14 tackles as a Colts player.
During that USA Today story, the article had a few other owners in it including the Houston Texans’ owner, Bob McNair.
