The Boston Red Sox’s designated hitter/first baseman made an announcement on his 40th birthday, that he was retiring after the 2016 season.
David Ortiz aka Big Papi, is currently doing his “Farewell Season” and doing it in style.
First off, Ortiz’s daughter Alex has designed a limited edition T-shirt that says, “Retired But Not Expired” is a dark red, has the United States flag on the sleeve and the Dominican Republic flag on the bag with #34 in the center in place of the National symbol.
Teespring released the limited-edition retirement T-shirt Thursday and the sales end Oct. 6.

That’s not where Ortiz’s style ends because on September 21, New Balance announced that they created custom cleats for the final four regular season series.
The Red Sox started their four games with the Baltimore Orioles series on Monday and for those games, Ortiz wore cleats that were orange/black/white with a crab on them.
For the Toronto Blue Jays he will wear cleats that have a maple leaf on the back. , and will weaHere are the listings of the final four teams and the his cleats themes:
The last season’s road game is against the New York Yankees where Ortiz will wear a yellow cleats that have black and white checkered patterns on the New Balance “N” for a yellow taxi cab theme.
And for the final game, their last home game for the 2016 season, Ortiz will be wearing cleats that say “Walk off” across the back.
The last cleats are white based with red and black trims with #34 on the right toe and “Walk off” and a schedule on the left toe.
