Well, Apple has announced that for their new iOS 10, they’re removing the revolver emoji and replacing it with a green plastic water gun.
Who thinks this was a wise decision and is angry about it?
The green water gun won’t be the only changes that Apple’s new iOS 10 will make, no, they’re also adding more emojis for the female sex.

The new emojis will be a female police officer, a female construction worker, female athletes, a pride flag and an emoji for single parents too.
In the recent past, the revolver emoji was a reason why some people ended up in trouble with the law.
In Fairfax, Virginia, a 12-year old girl is facing charges for her posting that she did in December on her Instagram page.
The student posted the gun, knife and a bomb emoji including the words, “meet me in the library Tuesday.”
It’s unfortunate that she’s not the only one who’s in trouble with the law for her emoji choices because a teen in Brooklyn, New York was also in trouble with the law for her postings too.
The teen decided to post the police officer emoji with the revolver emoji pointing at the head and although the chargers were later dropped, that teen was still arrested and the case was sent to the Grand Jury.
The organization called New Yorkers Against Gun Violence started a campaign to get Apple to removed the pistol/revolver emoji. Their site is disarmtheiphone.com, and it’s purpose was clear, they wrote and open letter to Apple and they added an easy button to tweet the CEO of Apple and their site says, “Help convince Apple to remove the gun emoji and take a stand for stricter gun accessibility in America.”
The organization Executive Director Leah Barrett said, “Apple has stood up to the bullying tactics of the NRA and gun industry by showing that there are many more life-affirming ways to express oneself than with a gun.”
