I’ve jammed this musical a bunch of times, so it was only right that I went to check it out when I visited New York last week. Avenue Q has a very creative outlook on what our world is like. It speaks on what the ordinary person is afraid to say. The music takes on subjects from everyone being a little bit racist to how the internet’s main purpose is for pornography. Lol One of my favorite selections from the show is “If You Were Gay.” Homosexuality is becoming more acceptable in today’s society, but we’re still not all of the way there yet. More people should take Nicky’s stance when it comes to the topic of the LGBT community. Watch & Learn. -Amir Diamond
