Before you check out the full list of 2016 Grammy nominations, here’s a break down of 16 things to know about this year’s 58th Grammy awards.
1. Nomination Leaders
Kendrick Lamar is up for 11 nominations! Taylor Swift & The Weeknd also snagged 7 nominations each.
2. Album of the Year
The top three nominees of the night go head-to-head for album of the year, along with the Alabama Shakes & Chris Stapleton.

3. Song of the Year
It might be one of those award shows where Kendrick Lamar & Taylor Swift are the only people we see on stage all night. The two are even nominated as a duo for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance AND Best Music Video for her song “Bad Blood.”

4. Grammy SNUBS of the Year
Drake’s “Hotline Bling” song and video broke the whole internet, BUT wasn’t nominated for any Grammys. Madonna and Prince also didn’t get nominated for any awards this year. Last but not least, although Fetty Wap shattered a Billboard chart record with his first 4 singles, he didn’t make the Best New Artist category.

9. Adele Isn’t Winning A Grammy
So everybody’s been like HELLO where’s Adele??? Even though she had the best-selling album of the year, this year’s Grammy time frame includes albums released between Oct. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015. It’s all good because we’re sure Adele will rack up Grammys next year.
