There’s a young Eastern Kentucky girl named Marlana VanHoose who was born with the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and when she was just a few weeks ok, it was discovered that shows fully blind.
The Dr.’s said that her optic nerve never formed and she wasn’t expected to live over a year old. When Marlana was 2-years old, she was diagnosed with a mild form of cerebral palsy.

It was a blessing when Marlana’s CMV had healed by the time she turned one year old…. before little Marlana could even speak, she was humming the song “Jesus loves me” and by the time she was 2-years old, she had started playing the piano.
Marlana was blessed with musical talent that she clearly portrays when she’s invited to sing at professional sporting events, NASCAR or at her favorite team, the University of Kentucky Woman’s basketball games. Marlana loves the UK games with her parents and performing is just the icing on the cake for her.
Last night, Marlana was invited to sing before the Monday Night Football game between the Browns and the Ravens. Marlana didn’t disappoint the fans with her heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem.
Watch her story and listen to her booming voice.
