Another H Town legend has left the game too soon. OG Wickett Krickett passed away earlier today due to cancer complications. I don’t think enough people understand what he truly meant to our city or the culture. An endless supply of information on the history of Houston & always willing to help upcoming artist out, he will be dearly missed.
When I started rapping, one of my weekly spots was Jus Joking Comedy Club. He was actually one of the first people to bring me out & give me some game. Building the relationship to the point he would call me “nephew”. Check out this video and you’ll see a small glimpse of the type of man he was.
In life no man or woman is perfect. But when you try to do right & are willing to help others, you deserve to always be remembered. Rest easy Unc. (I’ll keep you updated with funeral arrangements)
