6-year old Colin Toler’s special day was planned to be during a live NFL game his dad promised to take him to. Unfortunately Colin’s father passed away in September.
Colin and some friends rallied together and bought him and his two grandfathers tickets to a Carolina Panther’s game for his dad.

During Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, after a one-yard touchdown during the second quarter of the game QB Cam Newton went to carry on his tradition of tossing the football to the fans in the stands. Before Cam could carry on with his tradition, LB Julius Pepper tossed the ball away from Cam. Cam ran after the ball, retrieved it and handed the football to Colin.
Cam had no idea who Toler was or why he was there, but that football made his day! It probably was the best thing that could have happened to him since September.
When Toler saw Cam walking his way, he said, “I was like, ‘Oh gosh, oh gosh!’ Am I going to be on the big screen or am I going to be on TV? I was jumping up and down like, ‘Yeah!'”
One of his grandpas, Chris Baker, said, “You guys had already been on the fan cam and I told people around us, ‘that’s my grandson right there,’ And then you got the ball, I said that’s my grandson too, and they were like wow, what a day he’s having.”
What a day! Colin also said that the people behind him were taking pictures and people on the side of him were giving him high fives.
