Disney is releasing a new Princess movie next year, November 23, 2016, best described as a “mythic adventure set around 2000 years ago and across a series of islands in the South Pacific,” as described on Disney Wiki.
On Wednesday, Auli’i Cravalho, a 14-year old Hawaiian native, was announced as the on who will be playing ‘Moana’.
Lucky Auli’i because she’s playing along side of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who’s mother is of Samoan heritage, a Polynesian ethnic group. Everyone knows Johnson or The Rock from his Fast and Furious movies and G.I. Joe, Hercules, and from his wrestling and appearances in and on WWE Raw and PPV special shows too.

Auli’i  won over the casting agent when they saw Auli’i singing at a charity competition and was later told on video conferencing that she got the roll.
Auld’i told People magazine, “Moana is such an amazing character. She’s brave, she is so empowered, she knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to get it, and I think that’s something that I can relate to as well. I just love watching how she goes along in this wonderful movie and grows as a person and helps her culture along the way.”
Dwayne Johnson is playing a tattoo-covered demigod Maui and Johnson is also singing in the Disney film too. He did an interview with Yahoo movie and did a silly sing-along with his interviewer. The two sang “Let it Go” from that infamous Frozen movie and it appeared thatJohnson wasn’t even singing, but mouthing behind the interviewer.
Watch the interviews and Auli’i’s reaction when he learned that she received the roll of Moana.
