Odell Beckham Jr

As the season presses on, trades are being offered left and right. With a bunch of the top seeds suffering from season ending injuries, fantasy players are looking for the next best option. We’ve already given you the best quarterbacks and running backs of the 2015 season, so it’s only right to give you one of the most explosive and exciting positions in the NFL.

Make sure you have one of these talented guys in your lineup this week:

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers

Antonio Brown. Did you really think someone else would be the best Wide Receiver in the NFL right now? Simply put, he embodies what it means to be an elite fantasy receiver. He’s only 5’10’’, but his speed and quickness are unmatched. Last week alone, he caught nine of his 11 targets for 195 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the 49ers, and also added a catch for a two-point conversion. He was 2014’s No.1 receiver as he finished with an NFL high 129 receptions, which was 18 more than Demaryius Thomas, who came in second. He’s prized by fantasy owners because he puts up such high numbers every week and he’s currently got a 32-game streak of at least 5 catches and 50 yards in a game. Brown is simply one of the top-3 fantasy receivers no matter the format. Not much has changed in the Steelers offense since last season, so Brown is still the focal point of the Steelers’ passing game. Aside from Martavis Bryant getting a little more love, expect the Steelers to have an amazing season .

Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos

When you’re Demaryius Thomas, and you’ve got Peyton Manning throwing to you, what else is there to worry about?

The 2014 season was the 3rd year in a row where Thomas bodied the stat sheet. Thomas finished second in the league with a dominating 1,619 yards and 111 receptions and 11 touchdowns, which made him the No. 4 wide receiver in standard scoring league and No. 2 in PPR leagues. Wide receiver is a position that can have its up and downs every week, but like Antonio Brown, Thomas’ numbers are consisitent. From Week 4 through Week 17 of last season, Thomas went over 100 yards in all but three contests. In those three remaining contests, he still scored a combined four touchdowns. The man cannot be stopped. As great as Thomas has been (and will be), there is still concern that the Broncos might be leaning more on the running game in 2015 than they have ever before. While that could be a cause for concern, the reality is that it might affect every other player in this offense other than Thomas. Kubiak tends to focus on one receiver, especially in a run heavy offense. Early projections show that Thomas will have a 96 catch and 1,318 yard season. Remember, Thomas is one of the safest Wide Receiver picks, so any trade offering is a blessing.

Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants

Beckham should thank Victor Cruz for last year’s season-ending injury, right?

Beckham burst onto the scene after missing the first six games of the season to deliver one of the most impressive campaigns in the history of fantasy football. In just twelve games, the former LSU star caught 91 balls for 1,305 yards and reeled in 12 touchdowns. Last year, he carried many fantasy football owners to three straight victories to close out the season. He was definitely 2014’s top sleeper pick. So it’s  expected that Beckham Jr. is a highly sought after player in 2015. While Victor Cruz is still nursing injuries, Beckham will shine. Things will get murky upon his return. Also, opposing defenses are well aware of the one-handed-wonder, so he won’t get off that easy this season. No matter what, Odell is still a top 10 wide receiver.

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons

Last year was Julio’s first season as a healthy Falcon, and he made sure he proved his worth by setting career-records across the board. Already a top-10 player at his position, there is still room for growth. He had a whopping seven games where he had over 100 yards receiving. With Kyle Shanahan as the Offensive Coordinator, expect Julio have to have his best season. He’ll be the go-to in the Atlanta offense which will give him more than enough opportunities to have an amazing season on the field and on your fantasy roster. With no looming contract negotiations over his head, it’s time for Julio to earn that $71M contract

Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions

Remember last year when Calvin Johnson missed five games and finished the season strong? There aren’t many receivers in fantasy history that can essentially miss five games and still finish in the top-15. That should tell you everything you need to know about Calvin Johnson. Just because he’s got a bit slower and has been a bit banged up the past two seasons, don’t think he won’t touch the ball in the redone. And with a little help from Golden Tate, expect Johnson to have things a bit easier this season. In addition, Johnson should last 16 games, making him a deadlock for top-5 wide receivers in the league.
