A mother who said she was at her “wit’s end” with feeding her young son when she couldn’t pump at work, turned to a friend for help. That friend, also a mother who was breast feeding at the time, suggested she breast feed both children.
WHERE: In Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania (West of Philly) a 27 year-old Jessica Collett posted a photo of her breastfeeding her son and a friend’s son at the same time.
She originally posted it to the blog, Mama Bean Parenting The accompanying text reads: “My son on the right is 16 months and my friend’s son is 18 months. I watch her son while she works and have been feeding them both for a year! So much love between these milk siblings, it’s a special bond between us all,” said Colletti believes women should be allowed to breastfeed their own babies – and others’ babies – openly and in public. However, she’s aware many people do not hold those views. That’s the reason she shared herbreastfeeding photo. Not everyone agrees with what Colletti is doing. Among the 700 comments the photo has garnered on Facebook,many users said what she’s doing is “sickening” or “wrong” or accused her of stealing Mateo’s special bond with his mom.
