According to Entertainment Weekly, we may no longer have to settle for marathons of The Notebook just to satisfy cravings for crazy arguments and passionate kisses in the rain. The ultimate love story of Noah and Allie may be getting transferred to the small screen.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling starred as the two lovers in the hit film in 2004 that had us all searching for that forever love.

It’s currently in the works with The CW, but the story is set to follow the couple through their blossoming relationship together during the politically charged 1940s in North Carolina. So expect more than just hugs and kisses.

Nicholas Sparks, who wrote the best-selling book the film was based on, will join the production as executive producer. The possible series hasn’t received the green light just yet, but here’s to hoping for a kick-ass pilot.
