I don’t watch much tv. But “Power”, ESPN’s “Sports Center”, & new HBO series “Ballers” are on my list. After “Ballers” went off, I stayed up to watch “Real Sports”. I caught a very interesting piece about how we raise our kids. Check out this clip from “Trophy Nation”.
Wow! Are we really hurting our kids long term? In real life, there’s no awards for mediocre work. I get giving young kids participation awards. But 6th-7th grade, you have to start getting our kids ready for the real world. Entitlement is the enemy of hard work & the pay off. Just my opinion.
Sidenote: As far as education goes, as a country we are ranked #14 out of 40 countries.
