These escaped fugitives have been running from law enforcement for three weeks already and today, four more days in June, Richard Matt was shot.
The shot is said to have taken place by the State Police deep into the woods in upstate New York.
The fugitives were most likely heading into Canada, but luckily they were discovered before they could make their way into that country.
David Sweat, the remaining fugitive, is still being chased by police, but the hunt isn’t stopping.
