In 1998, the firm Dil Se mashed up the Michael Jackson’s 1979 hit “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” with a Bollywood hit called “Chaiyya Chaiyya.”
Since the video has gone viral, it’s gathered more than 430,000 views in just four days!
The history behind the MJ Bollywood collaboration came after the YouTube Fan Fest in Mumbai in March, when artists Kurt Hugo Schneider, Sam Tsue, Shankar Tucker and Indian vocalist Vidya Iyer all met up.

The mash up “Chaiyya Chaiyya” was also composed by the Oscar and Grammy winning composer of the movie Slumdog Millionaie, A.R. Rahman.
It’s also surprising to learn that in 2006, Spike Lee used “Chaiyya Chaiyya” in the opening and the closing credits of movie Inside Man with Denzel Washington too.
In the vid, “Chaiyya Chiayya/Don’t Stop Mashup”, the begin with Iyer’s rendition of the song followed by Tsui’s take on “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.”
The vid was shot in various Mumbia locations, including Bandra-Worli sealink.
It might also surprise you to learn that this wasn’t the first time Bollywood did one of MJ’s songs with an Indian twist either.
No, because last year, the MJ and Justin Timberlake collaboration, “Love Never Felt So Good,” was done by the Bombay Flip Project.
The Indian twist included English lyrics interspersed with Hindi vocals along with traditional Indian table.
