Friday brought a game-winning shot from Derrick Rose to take a one-game lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Saturday, Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce banked in a buzzer-beater over the Atlanta Hawks for a win during the game’s waning seconds. Sunday, Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star forward LeBron James matched Rose’s last second shot with a three-pointer of his own as time expired to beat the Chicago Bulls.

James turned his ankle during the third quarter and was down on the court for several minutes after colliding with Rose. He refused to come out of the game to take treatment, and as the Bulls and Cavs traded blows during a close fourth quarter, he hit a fadeaway three-pointer from the left corner with 1.5 seconds remaining on the clock to give the Cavs a 86-84 lead.

With fellow All-Star Kevin Love out for the remainder of the playoffs after having season-ending surgery on his dislocated shoulder, James led the Cavaliers with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists. A clearly hobbled Kyrie Irving chipped in with 12 points and four rebounds.

The matchup resumes Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. EST in Cleveland with both teams having won two games in the best of seven series.
