On Sunday in Dubai, Alain Robert, aka “The French Spider-Man” claimed his latest accomplishment, a 75-story Cayan Tower.
Robert at 52-years-old, completed the 1,007-foot high climb in 70 minutes… this building was no different than the past buildings that he is known for climbing.
Robert has climbed this sky scrapers without using a harness and only using chalk and sticky tape for his fingertips to help him scale up buildings, like “Spider Man”.
If you have seen ‘Fast & Furious 7’ than you have seen how very tall and oddly shaped Dubai’s buildings are.
In 2011, Robert climbed another building that happened to be the “world’s tallest tower” in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa.
In this climb, Robert used rope and a harness, but this was at the requirements of the people who organized it. His 2011, climb was up a 2,717-foot building that took him over six hours.
