It’s about time! Funnyman Eddie Murphy is being honored as one of America’s best comedians. The Kennedy Center announced Thursday that Murphy will receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor later this year. He is the 18th humorist to get the award following such greats as Richard Pryor and Jonathan Winters. Murphy is best known for his roles on Saturday Night Live and classic films such as “Beverly Hills Cop” and “Trading Places.”
