Last month Drake did an interview wearing an airbrushed shirt with the face of the late Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla-Perez on it.
The shirt is a tribute for the fallen star that was shot weeks before her 24th birthday.
“They’ll be talkin’ till I meet Selena,” Drake said in the post he put up wearing Selena’s face. The line is something close to King Louie’s “Til I meet Selena.”

Since her passing a couple of stars have played tribute to her. One star was JLo, Jennifer Lopez, who portrayed ‘Selena’ in the 1997 movie about the rise and fall of the late Tejano star’s life.
Selena Gomez is said to be named after the singer and she even did a remake of the late singer’s song “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” too.
The shirt that Drake is wearing was done by Darien Bruze. Bruze has a collection that he’s done of “Fallen Angles” that include other fallen singers such as Aaliyah and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez along with Selena done in airbrushed and for sale.
On March 31, 1995, Selena was gunned down by her then, fan club president. The twentieth anniversary of her death is this year, 2015.
