(Beverly Hills, CA)  —  The countdown is on for the Oscars.  Nominations for the 87th Academy Awards have been announced.  Eight films are competing for Best Picture this year.  The list includes: “American Sniper,” “Birdman,” “Boyhood,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “The Imitation Game,” “Selma,” “The Theory of Everything,” and “Whiplash.”  Oscars for outstanding film achievements of 2014 will be presented on Sunday, February 22nd at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with Neil Patrick Harris as host.
