Quiet as it’s kept, DMV rapper Wale is probably one of the most consistent and conscious hip hop artists out today. Sure, he’s lent versus  to some of the most revered strip club joints such as “No Hands” and “Rack City”; it can’t be denied that Wale is one of the few artists who are trying to inject a bit of respect reverence and responsibility back into how society sees women, more specifically black women. He shares via blog: “today we spend so much time focusing on that a**, we forget how much of love’s chemistry is contingent to a beautiful face and genuine personality.”

He also shares more thoughts on how he chose the model in his latest video “The Body” featuring Jeremih:

“The model I used in the video kind of epitomized what I felt a normal beautiful “round the way” girl looked like.”
