The Ohio State Buckeyes knocked off the Oregon Ducks and Heisman trophy-winning quarterback Marcus Mariota 42-20 to win the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T.
This marked the first year of a playoff system to determine the National Champion and Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott ran over and around the Ducks defense. Elliott ran for 246 yards and 4 TD’s with an impressive display of power and speed.
I guess this pep talk from Lebron James amped him up.
I’ll admit after the Buckeyes went up 35-20 early int the 4th quarter I shut off the TV and went to sleep. But overall it was an impressive offensive and defensive performance from Urban Meyer’s guys from Columbus.
