(Elba, NY) — An elementary school in upstate New York is suspending three fourth-graders for plotting to kill their teacher. The superintendent of the Elba School District says the girls were plotting to kill their teacher with hand sanitizer because she was mean. The girls knew the teacher was allergic to antibiotic products, so they hatched a scheme to put hand sanitizer around the classroom. The students didn’t carry out the plot and local police dismissed it as idle chatter, but the school is taking the threats seriously. The girls were suspended and the school district says it’s using the incident as a vehicle for educating students about appropriate behavior.
