Have you ever heard of a professional cuddler before? ha-ha! That’s right, it’s a person who you pay to spoon with.
Samantha Hess opened up a cuddle studio in Portland on Saturday called Cuddle up to Me. Her business began in 2013 when she would do house calls or movie theaters, even parks, but don’t get her business confused with a prostitute because they are fully clothed, non-sexual cuddles.

Hess charges, $1 a minute and there is a minimum of 15 minutes a maximum of 5 hours to cuddle with Samantha Hess.
Hess said, “Professional cuddling is platonic touch. We offer people a sense of self worth. It’s about getting people to feel respected, accepted and worthy for who they are today.”
Since the idea of being a professional cuddle person came about, Hess was working 12-hour days and booking clients weeks in advance for a cuddle with her.
Don’t get any ideas, there is no funny business during your cuddle session because each room is equipped with cameras and the every cuddle session is recorded for Hess’ safety.
Hess said that every client is met with before their cuddle session for a consultation.
Before the studio was opened, the cuddling was just one person, Samantha Hess. Gladly, but Hess has hired 3 women who are completing a 40 hour training course to help her out with the busy cuddling business.
Tell us would you pay to cuddle?
