I came across the cutest clip of a young aspiring Beyonce singing her little 8 year old heart out. This clip is so adorable because it reminded me of when I would sing at local competitions, at the time I could not grasp the idea that these were baby steps that needed to be taken in order to reach the bigger picture. Looking at this video, you wouldn’t think that this 8 year old girl would become one of the worlds highest paid entertainers….but the people who loved her most did, and more importantly when she didn’t think it about herself, there were others around her to encourage her and remind her. I guess this is my way of encouraging parents and young people who aspire to do something great, what ever it is, that it doesn’t start off glamorous. There will be a lot of work that you will put in that wont garner praise or attention, but the work needs to be done anyway. Its all a part of the story, your story.
