On November 11th, China has holiday called “Singles Day”.
What is “Singles Day”?
Singles Day is China’s anti-Valentine’s day that has festivities for the single people and also they have a huge online shopping sales that is compared to our Black Friday sales.
This years Singles Day was kicked off with a man who decided that it was a good time to propose to his girlfriend. To him, getting married would eliminate them from having to partake in anymore 11/11 Singles Day festivities.
Ha ha! Or so he thought…
The man decided to create a romantic scenery so he could propose to his girlfriend. He decided to make a life sized heart where they could both stand inside while he proposed to her.
How sweet right?
Well, you would think, but he made his enormous proposal heart out of 99 Iphone 6’s that he purchased.
That’s right, 99 Iphones!
What was the cost of this? This cost him two years of his annual salary that roughly comes out to $82K!
And what could be worse than blowing two years of your salary?
YOUR GIRLFRIEND SAYING NO! Yup, that’s right, she declined his proposal.
His proposal has hit the blog sites all around China and now he will be participating in the 11/11 Singles Day this year too.
