(Portland, OR) — A Great Dane in Oregon is feeling much better after surgeons removed nearly 44 socks from his stomach. A spokeswoman for the emergency animal hospital in Portland tells “The Oregonian” the owners brought the ailing dog in with vomiting and a stalled appetite. The vet saw “a lot of foreign material” in the his stomach when she took an x-ray. And after two hours on the operating table, she discovered that the “foreign material” was 43-and-a-half socks. The missing half sock supposedly remains a mystery.
