(Undated) — An unlikely beef may be forming between British crooner Sam Smith and rapper Riff Raff. The two met last Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards, where the rapper sat front-row as Katy Perry’s date. It was at the award show where Sam snapped a photo with the pair and singer Charli XCX. But when he posted it to his Instagram page, Sam appeared to have cropped the rapper out of the shot. Riff responded directly to the supposed diss, commenting on his photo with a profanity-laced message. He also called Sam “chubby” and told him that “[his] face is super huge.”
The 22-year-old “Stay With Me” singer hasn’t responded to the name-calling, but many of his fans seem upset for Riff Raff’s reaction. One Twitter user commented that Sam “has more talent in his pinky” than RiffRaff, and another said she wished Katy would have chosen someone more like Sam to be her date. The pop star brought along the rapper after featuring him on the new remix of her single “This Is How We Do.”
