According to TMZ, ESPN says Steven A. Smith will not appear on his show “First Take” or on ESPN Radio for a week. This is happening because during a discussion last week about Ray Rice’s suspension, Stephen A. said he would tell women to make sure they’re not doing anything to,

“ provoke wrong actions.”

Which sent advocates for domestic violence and anyone with a brain over the edge.

While on “First Take” Smith apologized. Take a look at what Stephen A. had to say in the video below.

After the apology ESPN released a statement saying,

“We will continue to have constructive dialogue on this important topic. Stephen’s comments last Friday do not reflect our company’s point of view. As his apology demonstrates, he recognizes his mistakes and has a deeper appreciation of our company values.”

Some felt Smith’s apology fell flat and others seemed to feel that his suspension was a joke. We sort of think that calling him out and forcing him to say he was wrong will have an effect on him for some time. Why you ask? Well, because there are many things that ol Stephen A. may like to do…but admitting he was wrong…yeah…that’s really not one of those things!

Now…DISCUSS!
