Damn! Damn! Damn!

That’s basically what I’ve been saying since Friday. It all started out so good. LeBron James left the Miami Heat behind to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. All-Star PF Chris Bosh had stated that he would bring his talent to H-Town if LeBron bolted. Then things started falling apart when Miami threw out $118M reasons why he should stay in South Beach.

Damn!

My dream of Chris Bosh lining up next to Dwight Howard, James Harden & Chandler Parsons was swiftly kicked in the a$$.

Damn!

Sunday at 6pm news came down that the Rockets would not match the Restricted Free Agent deal of 3 years & $46M that the Dallas Mavericks offered Chandler Parsons. General Manager Daryl Morey must have decided the cost was too rich for their blood and let CP make his way up 45 North to the Triple D.

Damn!

Now I get it. If you are the Rockets and decided to match the Mavs offer to Parsons you have limited flexibility to pursue any other big time free agent for the foreseeable future. So in essence they made a business decision based on “hopefully” landing Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics or (gulp) should I dare say it….Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

I guess I’ve got to trust that the Rockets will pull off a miracle like they have the last two years when the surprisingly acquired Harden (2012) and Howard (2013).
