It is not often an event will get the type of attention Pushups For Charity has received. The Mayor of Houston, Annise Parker, in an official proclamation delivered to Tom Jackobs, owner of Body3 Fitness Center (www.Body3Fit.com) and one of the presenting sponsors of Pushups For Charity, the mayor proclaims “The city of Houston commends Tom Jackobs for honoring our severely wounded men and women of the US Armed Services through his commitment in organizing the Pushups for Charity” scheduled for Saturday May 10 at 1 PM at Body3 Fitness Center, 3562 W TC Jester Blvd, Houston TX 77018.

“The event will be a fun challenge to see who can do as many pushups as possible in 90 seconds, but more importantly who can raise the most funds for The Boot Campaign. It’s really that simple”, states Jackobs, “It’s really an honor to be recognized by the fourth-largest city and to give back to the same community who has sacrificed so much for our every day freedoms, the men and women of our armed services.”

“We urge all citizens to come out and see how many pushups they can do in 90 seconds and to raise as much money as possible for The Boot Campaign. It doesn’t matter your fitness level, it’s a great cause and we’ll have a great time and great prizes donated from local businesses,” commented Cassandra Gaudet, who is in her fifth year of participating in the event.
