(Frankfurt, Germany) — A 66-year-old German woman is believed to have been dead six months before being found inside her apartment in front of her still-running television. A TV guide from September was found near her body, which is being described as “partially mummified.” Investigators say residents of the 30-apartment block had detected a bad smell in the staircase, but no one bothered to inform the authorities. The woman’s body was discovered after the building’s landlord noticed her mailbox was stuffed with uncollected letters. Authorities say the woman died of natural causes.
