Paris Hilton totally knows who Nelson Mandela is! We think…
Yesterday after the announcement broke that Nelson Mandela, the South African anti-apartheid leader, had passed away a tweet allegedly from Paris Hilton began to make its way around social media. The tweet in question (see below) appeared to come from heiress Paris Hilton’s verified Twitter page, but (before you pull out your shotgun) the tweet was fake!
Paris clarified things on her Twitter account, saying:
Just landed & heard the sad new about Nelson Mandela. He was a true Hero & the world is a better place because of him. May he rest in peace.—

Whoever made that stupid fake tweet lacks respect to the loss the world is mourning right now. Same goes for all the blogs who ran with it.—
