In lue of “throwback Thursday” our “throwback favorite film” The Best Man is returning to the big screen with The Best Man Holiday !!!!!!!
It’s been fifteen years since the cast’s reunion and its going to be good.
Cast members Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, Monica Calhoun and Melissa De Sousa collectively return to the big-screen for the long-awaited follow-up.
The story picks up with these college friends gathering for the Christmas holidays, they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.
Writer and director Malcolm D. Lee shares, “I am a firm believer that music is essential to the entirety of a film going experience. The Best Man Holiday soundtrack is no exception.” Additionally, Mr. Lee says the soundtrack not only “makes up the fabric of the movie but served as inspiration to the creation of the screenplay.”
The soundtrack was made available for pre-order on October 15th at iTunes, Amazon.com and select online retailers. It features classic holiday hits and newly written material performed by platinum-selling and award-winning artists including R. Kelly, Jordin Sparks, Mario, Fantasia, Monica, Marsha Ambrosius & Anthony Hamilton, John Legend, Emeli Sandé, and more.
