Last year me and my mini-me had a great time at the Susan G Komen Race for The Cure and we will surely be back again this year!

WHAT: 23rd Annual Komen Houston Race for the Cure®, presented locally by Marathon Oil Corporation

WHO: 
Over 26,000 Race participants, including 2,400 breast cancer survivors

WHERE: 
Downtown Houston (Allen Parkway & I-45)

WHEN :
Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013

HOW: 
Online registration for the 2013 Komen Houston Race for the Cure is still open, but registrants MUST PICK UP their PACKET AT WALK-IN REGISTRATION
Walk-in Registration at IKEA Houston

Wednesday, Oct. 3 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 4 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 5 – 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

MORE: 

· Online registration fees are $40 for adults, $25 for children(17 and under), $30 for survivors and $45 for competitive runners
· Registration fees increase by $5 at Walk-In registration at IKEA
· Registration for Sleep In for the Cure is $50 and includes a Race T-shirt, a snooze bib and an extra “Sleep In” treat
· Registration will also be accepted the morning of the Race at the designated tent from 6 to 7:30 a.m.; only cash and checks will be accepted on Race day.

Komen Houston Pink Out Day
Local companies, organizations and Komen Houston supporters will sport pink for the day in rally of the 2013 Race. Tweet pictures @KomenHouston with the hashtag #pinkoutday 

SATURDAY, OCT. 5 

Komen Houston Race for the Cure® – Downtown Houston 
� 6 a.m. Race Day Walk-in Registration
� 7:45 a.m. – Race Opening Ceremonies & Memorial Bird Release
� 8:00 a.m. – 5K Timed Competitive Run
� 8:10 a.m. – 5K Non-Competitive Run
8:25 a.m. – Family Walk / Kids K presented by National Oilwell Varco
� 8:40 a.m. – 5K Walk
� 9:15 a.m. – Runners’ Award Ceremony 
� 10:30 a.m. – Survivor Celebration, sponsored by Baker Hughes Corporation
