George Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, was arrested after a domestic incident involving his wife.

ABC NEWS reports his wife called police to her father’s house in Lake Mary, Fla., after he threatened her with a gun around 2 p.m. EST:

“There was some kind of a domestic, we know that with his wife and father-in-law. Apparently there were some weapons involved and threats,” the deputy police chief in Lake Mary told ABC News.

An attorney for Shellie Zimmerman accused her husband of pulling a knife on his wife after she found a firearm in the house, before pulling a gun on she and her father following a fight. She filed for divorce last week.
