Dave Chappelle is making a huge leap back on the stand-up comedy stage with a one-month, 13-show tour for the comedy website FunnyorDie.com’s “Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival.”

The tour kicks off right here in Texas on August 23 at Austin’s Austin260 Amphitheater, and Houston’s Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on August 24. The tour will also play Dallas’ Gexa Energy Pavilion on August 25.

Chappelle, 39, will appear with Flight of the Conchords, a musical comedy duo, along with Al Madrigal, Chris D’Elia, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Jim Jeffries, John Mulaney, and Kristin Schaal.
Oddball is billed as “a full festival experience featuring a second comedy stage, street performers, vendors, psychics, freaks, tasty treats, booze and more.”
Chappelle abruptly left his hit Comedy Central show, “Chappelle’s Show,” in 2005, and for the most part, has avoided the public and the stage ever since.
