Marriage is supposed to be for better or for worse.  But sometimes, things just don’t work out.  Now some of the most common reasons for divorce are lack of commitment, lack of equality, lack of preparation, arguments, infidelity, marrying young, unrealistic expectations, even abuse.  But love for hip-hop hasn’t been examined much but ended one woman’s marriage.

In fact, one 53-year-old woman’s recent divorce was triggered by something much more specific: a Waka Flocka Flame concert.

A South Florida social media communications advisor, Dianne, wrote that the concert was the “nail in the coffin of my previous marriage.”

Dianne became friendly with Waka through social media, which flamed her passions for hip-hop again and inspired her to start a new career writing about rap artist.  Her husband wasn’t particular excited about her new passion.

Her husband wasn’t excited about the possibility of her rubbing bodies with several “black men” at a Waka Flocka Flame concert.  Her words, paraphrased about what her husband said about her going to the show.

Ignoring her husband’s warning, Dianne went to the concert and had an amazing time — even paid extra to attend a meet and greet with the rap star after the show.

It was apparent that the relationship had ran it’s course.  It was dissolved and she’s been happy ever since.  She stated, “Don’t EVER let anyone else keep you from your bliss, no matter what that may be. If someone truly loves you, they will come along for the adventure”.
