Free-agent wide receiver Donte Stallworth is in stable condition after being involved in a hot air balloon accident.
The former player for the New England Patriots was enjoying a balloon ride in Miami on March 16th with his girlfriend when their craft collided with power lines. The couple was treated at Kendall Regional Hospital for burns.
“He’s going to be OK. He has some burns, but he’s going to be fine,” his agent Drew Rosenhaus told NFL.com. “He will be able to continue his NFL career. The injuries are not to the extent they will jeopardize his career.”
Stallworth thanked his fans and followers on Twitter for their concern.
“I appreciate all the prayers and well wishes more than you know. I feel lucky to be alive. #blessed“
