A tweet that went too far, has many upset.  “The Onion” magazine, known for its satirical and often controversial articles might have crossed the line.

Sunday during the Oscars someone for “The Onion” tweeted, ““Everyone else seems afraid to say it, but that Quvenzhané Wallis is kind of a c**t, right? #Oscars2013.″

Twitter exploded, after the comment.  Many consider calling a 9-year-old what many consider to be the worst word you can say to a female was indeed wrong. However, some condoned the tweet, arguing that “this is what they do.” The tweet received over 500 retweets and favorites.

“We all understand satire, being snarky and funny, but @TheOnion should apologize immediately for saying such a thing about a 9-year-old girl,” journalist and author Roland Martin tweeted.

The tweet has since been deleted by “The Onion” but as you know…there’s no such thing as a deleted tweet.  Some users grabbed a screenshot of the offensive post.  At the time of this writing, the website hadn’t addressed the tweet.
