(South El Monte, CA)  —  Doctors in Southern California are hoping to reattach the fingers that two high school students lost while playing tug-of-war.  A girl and a boy somehow amputated some of their fingers during a lunchtime competition as part of their school’s spirit week.  The fingers were saved.  The “San Gabriel Valley Tribune” reports doctors are going to try to reattach them.  Firefighters who were called out to the scene didn’t know how the accident happened, and school administrators weren’t sure either.
